Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 May 2026

1. About this service

LawImNotSure ("we", "us", "the service") provides an AI-powered tool that drafts template legal correspondence and documents based on the information you supply. The service is provided as software-as-a-service through this website.

2. Not legal advice

The documents produced by the service are templates and informational only. They do not constitute legal advice, and we are not a firm of solicitors. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. For complex matters or where significant value or rights are at stake, you should consult a qualified solicitor or barrister.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions, billing and free trial

5. Refunds and cancellation

See our Refund Policy for details on consumer cancellation rights and refunds.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to: (a) produce documents you know to be false, fraudulent or harassing; (b) infringe a third party's rights; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer the service or circumvent usage limits; (d) resell access to the service without our written consent.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the inputs you submit and the generated outputs you receive. We retain ownership of the service, its underlying software, branding and templates.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (i) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, and (ii) £100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of legal claims, judgments, settlements or costs awarded against you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.
